As long as I work diligently, it should only take a night of work or so to finish up the main menu of this Mahjong game, such that you can hit the 'play against computers' button and it should launch you into a game. It probably wont launch you into anything, but I can get it up to that point. I've been working on making the main menu all fancy, understanding Android emulator vs. device performance, and getting all the 2D graphics stuff working so that I have a nice set of tools with which to implement all the menu, GUI and HUD elements that I want to have in the game.
But I need to make the actual game! The only advantage I have is that making this game will take a minimal amount of art assets. I just need menu stuff, tiles, and the table for when you're actually playing. I want the game to be professional, though, so perhaps at some point I can add more. I dunno! I need to make the game, design server software for managing the multiplayer aspect (which will have a ladder and leaderboards and stuff) and other things. I would like music and audio stuff too. Man, games sure are a production. Doing it all yourself comes at a cost, but not in dollars...
